!!!Lothar, Ernst eigentlich E. L. Müller

b. Brno, Czech Republic (then Bruenn), Oct. 25, 1890, 
d. Vienna, Oct. 30, 1974, theatre critic, director, writer; brother of 
Hans  Mueller-Einigen, husband of the actress A.  Gessner. Originally 
public prosecutor, then official in the Austrian Ministry of Commerce 
and Trade (founded the Vienna Fair and the School of World Trade, 
formerly Export Academy), theatre and literature critic with the 
newspaper "Neue Freie Presse", 1933 to 1935 guest director at the 
Vienna Burgtheater, 1935 to 1938 successor to M.  Reinhardt as 
director of the Theater in der Josefstadt. In his New York exile he 
founded the "Austrian Theatre" and taught Theatre and Comparative 
Literature Studies from 1940 to 1945 at the Colorado College in 
Colorado Springs. After his return he became stage director at the 
Vienna Burgtheater (revived Schnitzler and Hoffmannsthal) and at the 
Salzburg Festival.
