Lux, Josef August, b. Vienna, April 8, 1871, d. Anif near 
Salzburg, March 23, 1947, author. Author of biographical novels and 
mystery plays of Catholic and strongly pro-Austrian tendencies. From 
1930 onwards head of the group "L.-Spielleute Gottes", co-founder of 
the "Bildungsschule" in Hellerau-Dresden, Germany, and the Kralik 
Society (Kralik-Gesellschaft) in Vienna; promoted the religious 
amateur actors' movement. 1939 incarcerated in the concentration camp 
Dachau.
