b. Berlin (Germany), May 6, 1912, fencer. 1928-1962 successful career; 
1932 gold medal at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, bronze medals at 
the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 and London in 1948, world champion 
in 1947, 1949 and 1950, 19 times Austrian champion. After her career 
in amateur sports taught fencing at the Reinhardt Seminar School of 
Drama. Olympic award.
