b. Feldkirch (Vorarlberg), 1437, 
d. Nuremberg (Germany), 1508, humanist scholar (Latin name: 
Monetarius), physician and town councillor in Nuremberg. Dedicated the 
so-called "Muenzer Monstranz" to his native town; produced one of the 
first printed maps of Germany; wrote travelogues.
