b. Graz (Styria), April 9, 1881, d. Vienna, June 6, 1960, actor, 
Kammerschauspieler. At first at numerous provincial theatres, from 
1918 onwards at the "Carltheater" in Vienna. 1919 to 1960 at the 
Vienna Burgtheater mostly in character parts (great success with 
Nestroy and Shakespeare roles.) Also worked for TV and radio.
