Malzacher, Hans, b. Traisen (Lower Austria), Oct. 14, 1896, 
d. Villach (Carinthia), Oct. 16, 1974, mining engineer. 1938 to 
1941 Director-General of the "Reichswerke AG Alpine Montanbetriebe 
Hermann Goering" in Linz, 1942 to 1945 Director of the foundry of 
Teschen; 1945 Deputy War Minister of A. Speer and in charge of arms 
production for the Southeastern district of the Reich. 1945 to 1947 
imprisoned as a war criminal; Founded "Tiroler Roehren- und 
Metallverarbeitungs AG" in Solbad Hall, later Chairman of the Board of 
the United Austrian Steelworks (VOeEST).
