Marbod (Maroboduus), d. Ravenna (Italy, in exile), around A.D. 
37, King of the  Marcomanni. Shortly after 9 B.C. M. led the 
Marcomanni from the Main area to Bohemia and created the first 
Germanic Empire. Did not support Arminius' uprising against the 
Romans, was driven out of the country and fled to  Noricum 19 A.D.
