b. Naples (Italy), June 6, 1772, d. Vienna, April 13, 1807, 
cousin and 2nd wife of Emperor  Franz II (I), mother of 12 children 
(all subsequent Habsburg rulers were her descendants; Emperor  
Ferdinand I was her son, Emperor  Franz Joseph I her 
grandson); highly musical, sometimes sang at Court concerts. 
L. van  Beethoven dedicated his Septet in E-flat to her and J.  
Haydn his "Theresienmass".
