d. Vienna, April 16, 1973, zoologist. Professor at Vienna 
University; active in adult education; President of the Society for 
the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the ''Institut fuer'' 
''Wissenschaft und Kunst'' and the Ludwig Boltzmann Society. Awarded 
the Adult Education Prize in 1949, the Ring of Honour of the City of 
Vienna in 1965.
