Markt Allhau, Burgenland, market town in the district of Oberwart, 
alt. 349 m, pop. 1,740, area 32.31 km%%sup 2/%, situated 
west of the town of Oberwart near the Styrian border. - Road works 
agency in charge of the motorway (District Office of Public Works); 
company constructing timber houses and log cabins. Catholic subsidiary 
church (1956-1963); Baroque interior taken over from a church 
previously built on this site, detached belfry, richly ornamented 
Baroque high altar; Protestant parish church (1784-1786) with an 
architecturally outstanding interior (five bays vaulting over a church 
constructed in the shape of a Greek Cross). 18%%sup th/% -century 
parish church of Wofau.
