Markt Allhau liegt westlich von Oberwart an der steirischen Grenze.

Der Markt hat eine Autobahnmeisterei (Baubezirksamt). Holz- und Blockhausbau sind bildgebend für die Gemeinde.

Die Katholische Filialkirche (1956-63) von Markt Allhau ist mit barocker Einrichtung vom Vorgängerbau versehen. Sie hat einen frei stehenden Glockenturm und einen reich verzierten Barockhochaltar. Die evangelische Pfarrkirche (1784-86) besitzt einen bemerkenswerten Innenraum (5 platzlgewölbte Joche über griechischem Kreuz). Die Pfarrkirche Wofau stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert.
