b. Trautmannsdorf (Lower Austria), Sept. 7, 1919, farmer and 
politician (Austrian People´s Party, OeVP). 1951 to 1956 
Municipal Councillor of Trautmannsdorf, 1959 to 1964 member of the 
Lower Austrian Landtag, 1964 to 1966 Federal Councillor and President 
of the Austrian Farmer's Union, 1966 to 1981 Provincial Governor of 
Lower Austria. During his term of office he developed the road network 
and initiated the modernization of the province's infrastructure.
