d. Vienna, May 5, 1995, cartographer. 1978-81 Head of 
Kartographische Anstalt Westermann (Braunschweig, Germany), 1981 
Professor of Cartography at Trier, from 1985 Professor of Geography 
and Cartography at Vienna University. Focused on theoretical and 
practical cartography and the production of atlases.
