b. Vienna, April 28, 1753, 
d. Vienna, May 13, 1830, actor, theatre manager, playwright, principal 
of a travelling theatre with which he toured in Austria-Hungary until 
1788. In 1788 founded the  Theater in der Josefstadt and became its 
first manager (until 1812).
