Vienna Municipal Council, 1971 to 1973 member of the Nationalrat, 1973 
to1994 Municipal Councillor for Finance and Economic Affairs in 
Vienna, 1988 to 1993 Chairman of the Austrian Social Democratic Party 
(SPOe) Vienna, 1984 to 1994 Deputy Mayor.
