b. Vienna, July 6, 1796, 
d. Eisenstadt (Burgenland), Oct. 4, 1870, stage designer. Worked for 
F.  Raimund at the "Theater in der Leopoldstadt", artistic decorator 
for balls staged by J.  Lanner and J.  Strauss Senior, created sets 
for the theatres at Olmuetz (Olomouc) and Wiener Neustadt, was 
considered the leading painter of theatre scenery of the Biedermeier 
period. 1853 Town Councillor in Eisenstadt.
