!!!Melcher, Maximilian

b. Krottendorf bei Weiz (Styria), Aug. 28, 1922, painter and 
graphic artist, 1972-1992 taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in 
Vienna, 1972-1976 and 1984-1987 rector. An extensive range of graphic 
art centering mainly on self-portraits and "dream" landscapes. Between 
1952 and 1959 in the course of the project "Kunst am Bau" created 
numerous works for buildings in Vienna. Tapestry designs.
