tourist resort (192,294 overnight stays) at the confluence of the 
Mellenbach stream and the Bregenzerach river in the Hinterer 
Bregenzerwald hills. - Youth holiday camp, cable railway to 
Rossstellealpe mountain (1,390 m); carpet factory, sawmills, 
hazardous waste treatment plant. Modern parish church (1980-1982).
