!!!Merkensteiner Höhle

Merkenstein Cave, a cave near Gainfarn (Lower Austria), site of animal 
bone finds from the Ice Age (cave bear, cave lion, cave hyena, etc.). 
Prehistoric, Roman, and medieval finds have also been salvaged (on 
display in the Museum of Natural History in Vienna, in the Provincial 
Museum of Lower Austria and in the Museum of Bad Voeslau).
