!!!Mieger

Mieger, Carinthia, district of Klagenfurt, cadastral district of the 
municipality of  Ebental; the Anna Bridge at Saager Palace, was the 
scene of heavy fighting in the  Carinthian Resistance Movement on 
April 29 and from May 4 to May 6, 1919, when Saager Palace was 
damaged; in 1920 its south tower with loggia was reconstructed (since 
1961 residence of the painter G.  Hoke). Romanesque subsidiary church 
of St. Anna situated on a hillock above the Drau/Drava river; in Upper 
Mieger, late Gothic parish church with Baroque altars.
