b. Klagenfurt, Carinthia, Dec. 18, 1914, art historian. 1950-80 at the
Carinthian Provincial Museum, from 1968 lectured at the University of
Salzburg, became Professor in 1971, taught at the University of
Klagenfurt from 1977 until 1994. His studies focused on Mannerism and
on 20th century European art. (H. Matisse, P. Picasso, Pop Art).

1963/65; Manierismus in Kaernten, 1973; Mantegna und die Reliefs der
Brauttruhen Paola Gonzagas, 1975. - Numerous publications on
