Military Command, territorial form of organization of the Austrian  
Federal Armed Forces (Bundesheer), introduced in 1963. There is one 
military command in each province, which is subordinated to the 
respective groups (now corps), especially regarding military 
infrastructure, and, in case of action, is in charge of protecting the 
command area together with the landwehr (militia) units.
