b. Oršova (Rumania), March 9, 1836, 
d. Moedling (Lower Austria), March 12, 1915, poet, narrative 
writer, officer and cartographer. Father of M.  Morold; enlarged the 
map of the Vienna area; friend of F.  Kuernberger and F. von  
Saar. In his four-part novel "Lebensmaechte" (1890) describes the 
social problems of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy; awarded the 
Bauernfeld Prize 1902.
