!!!Mitterer, Wolfgang

Mitterer, Wolfgang, b. Lienz (Tirol), June 6, 1958, 
composer. 1978-1983 studied organ at the Hochschule fuer Musik (now 
University of Music and Performing Arts) in Vienna; 1983-1984 studied 
electroacoustics in Stockholm. From 1986 initiator and co-founder of 
various ensembles in the fields of jazz, new wave, folk music and 
noise music: Pat Brothers (with W.  Puschnig), Hirn mit Ei, Call Boys 
Inc., Dirty Tones (with Tom Cora). 1991 founded the recording label 
Olongapo. Considered one of the leading exponents of electronic 
experimental music in Austria.

Theatre music: Der Erzbischof, 1986; Guernica, 1992; Siebzehn 
und Vier, 1995. - Mit dem Regen in die Traufe, 1984 (electronic); 
Turmbau zu Babel, 1993 (symphony of voices); Krok, 1994 (radio play 
music); Waldmusik, 1994 (Hackbretter/hammered dulcimers, woodcutters, 
sawmill, tape); Ka und der Pavian, 1997 (choir, 13 instruments, 
encircling sound reinforcement).
