Moldovan, Kurt, b."Vienna, June 22, 1918, 
d. Vienna, Sept. 16, 1977, painter, graphic artist, aquarellist. 
Studied at the Hochschule fuer angewandte Kunst (now University of 
Applied Arts) in Vienna and at the Academy of Fine Arts under S.  
Pauser. 1952 participation in the Biennale in Venice. His works cover 
a wide spectrum of political, mythological and fantastic subjects, 
scenes from large cities also played an important part. Awarded the 
Grand Austrian State Prize in 1968.

graphic art cycles: Krieg, 1951; Tierkreis, 1956; Antike 
Szenen, 1962. - drawings, watercolours, book illustrations, stage 
sets.
