b. Kitzbuehel (Tyrol), Oct. 8, 1931, skier. Between 1952-1959 10 
Austrian championships, won the Hahnenkamm race 4 times. Greatest 
international successes include third place in the giant slalom at the 
1954 World Championships and silver medal in the giant slalom at the 
1956 Olympics and bronze medal in the downhill.
