d. Vienna, Sept. 6, 1927, court official; son of Prince Wilhelm 
Albrecht von  Montenuovo. From 1898 under the service of the imperial 
court, from 1909 Lord Stewart of Royal Household; strong opponent of  
Franz Ferdinand, the successor to the throne, 1917 dismissed by 
Emperor  Karl I.
