d. Vienna, May 9, 1989, Kammerschauspieler. 1943-1969 member of 
the Burgtheater company; after voluntary retirement guest actor at the 
Burgtheater 1976-1980. From 1948 at the Salzburg Festival, also 
international film, TV and radio productions and lectures; numerous 
awards (1955 Kammerschauspieler, 1977 Kainz Medal, 1978 honorary 
member of Burgtheater).
