Moosbrunn, Lower Austria, municipality in the district of 
Wien-Umgebung (environs of Vienna), alt. 186 m, pop. 1,466, area 
16.91 km%%sup 2/%, situated on an inlet of the river Piesting, in 
the Vienna Basin. - Transformer station, pumping station of the 
municipality of Moedling water works; short-wave transmitting station 
of the ORF (Austrian broadcasting corporation) for their foreign news 
service (target areas Europe and overseas), consisting of 4 
transmitters with directional, rotatable and omnidirectional aerials 
on a total area of 800,000 m%%sup 2/%, the biggest aerial curtain 
being 75 m high and 85 m wide. Plastics and metal processing 
industries, printing shop. - Village with wide roads; parish church, 
originally Gothic, converted in Baroque style. Animal sculpture from 
former late Romanesque tower in the Museum Moedling.
