Schülerin von M. Beckmann. Studienaufenthalte in Den Haag und Frankfurt am Main 1924 und 1926, dann in Paris, 1928-38 in Wien. 1938 Emigration über Den Haag nach England, wo sie E. [Canetti|Biographien/Canetti,_Elias] und O. [Kokoschka|AEIOU/Kokoschka,_Oskar] begegnete. Lebte seit 1945 in London.
