!!!Mozart, Maria Anna Nannerl b. Salzburg, July 30 or 31, 1751, d. Salzburg, Oct. 29, 1829, pianist, daughter of Leopold Mozart and sister of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Taught by her father; she and her brother Wolfgang performed as infant prodigies during the musical tours of the M. family until 1769. In 1784 married J. B. Berchtold zu Sonnenburg (d. 1801), with whom she had three children. After her husband´s death she became a highly reputed piano teacher in Salzburg. In her old age went blind. Her diaries, letters and memoirs of both her life and her brother´s, written around 1792, are valuable sources of information. !Works Diary, includes entries by her brother Wolfgang A.
