d. St. Poelten, April 22, 1798, master builder, son of Josef
Munggenast, brother of Franz Munggenast, continued his father´s
and brother´s projects but did not attain their artistic
excellence. Suffered financial problems.

Lower Austria: Fridau Palace, 1750-1754; district office St.
Poelten, 1754-1756; houses for wealthy citizens in St. Poelten,
1756-1785; Lilienhof Palace, Stattersdorf (baroque style), 1756/57
Brand-Laaben parish church, 1758; library and sacristy in the Servite
monastery at Jeutendorf, 1762; parish house and beneficiary house in
Theiss, 1763; high altar and spire in the monastery church at
Herzogenburg (in collaboration with M. Hefele), from 1765; additions
to the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary in St. Poelten, 1767-1769.
