Museum of Austrian Culture (Museum fuer oesterreichische Kultur), 1946 
founded by A.  Loehr, initially established as part of the 
Kunsthistorische Museum in the Vienna Hofburg Imperial Palace and 
reopened in Eisenstadt in 1987. The collection was closed for display 
in November, 1994, whereas the sponsoring association of the federal 
government, the provincial government of Burgenland and the municipal 
government of Eisenstadt has remained in existence.
