Muthspiel, Wolfgang, b. Judenburg (Styria), March 2, 1965, 
musician, composer; brother of Christian  Muthspiel. Studied guitar 
(classical and jazz) at the Musikhochschule (now University of Music 
and Dramatic Arts) in Graz; 1986-1989 studied in the USA. Played in 
the Gary Burton Quartet for two years; established several bands of 
his own (e.g. with his brother); 1998 solo performances in the Queen 
Elizabeth Hall in London and in the Vienna State Opera. 2000 
established his own recording label, Material Records. Numerous 
recordings; Hans Koller Prize 1997.

von Slunj, 1997 (saxophone, ensemble); Stretch, 1997 (electric guitar, 
tape).
