Hundsheimer Berge hills (near Bad Deutsch-Altenburg in Lower Austria, 
120 hectares, one of the last original steppe regions in Europe); 
March riverine woods near Marchegg (Lower Austria, riverine woods with 
the only European colony of tree-nesting white storks; night heron, 
cormorant, saker falcon); Puergschachener Moor swampland (Styria, 46 
hectares, one of the last intact high-lying moors in Austria).
