b. Vienna, Dec. 23, 1921, journalist. 1948-1958 editor and 
editor-in-chief of the newspaper  "Neue Zeit", 1965-1986 director of 
the journal "Forum" (1966-1979 published as "Neues Forum"), a position 
he had taken over from F.  Torberg. 1960-1985 chairman of the Union of 
Journalists. Became committed to the Austrian Green movement and now 
works as a journalist for Austrian and international papers and 
journals. Numerous publications.
