!!!Neuberger Teilungsvertrag
Neuberger Teilungsvertrag. On September 25, 1379, the Dukes Albrecht
III and Leopold III divided their possessions amongst themselves in a
contract signed in the monastery of Neuberg an der Muerz (Styria).
Albrecht III was given Austria to the North and South of the River
Enns (without Wiener Neustadt and the earldom of Pitten, but with
Steyr and the Salzkammergut region) and Leopold III received Styria
(including the Wiener Neustadt area), Carinthia, Carniola, the
Windische March, Istria, Tirol and the west German possessions
(Vorlande). Thus the two Habsburg lines ( Albertinian Line,
LeopoldinianLine) were founded; these possessions were not reunited
until 1493 under Emperor Maximilian I.
