Neue Welt Basin, Lower Austria, basin stretching from northeast to 
southwest (length: 7 km, width: 3 km) between the Hohe Wand precipice 
in the west and the foothills of the Thermenalpen mountain range in 
the east. Area almost free of traffic, mainly used as farmland and 
pasturage, drained by the Frauenbach stream through the Maiersdorfer 
Graben trench towards the nearby Steinfeld area.
