Neumann, Robert, b. Vienna, May 22, 1897, d. Munich 
(Germany), Jan. 3, 1975, writer, feature writer, literary critic and 
author of radio plays. 1933 went to England, 1939 together with F.  
Werfel, founded and became the president of the Austrian P.E.N. club 
in exile. 1959 moved to Locarno; famous for his numerous historical 
novels and especially for his collections of parodies "Mit fremden 
Federn" (1927) and "Unter falscher Flagge" (1932). His works were 
translated into several languages.
