Neurath, Otto, b. Vienna, Dec. 10, 1882, d. Oxford (United 
Kingdom), Dec. 22, 1945, political economist, sociologist, 
philosopher. Director of the Museum of Society and Economics in 
Vienna; created pictorial statistics, which became especially popular 
in the USA and in Great Britain under the name of "isotype technique"; 
belonged to the neo-positivist  Vienna Circle. 1934 emigrated to 
Holland, 1941 to England.
