!!!Neustädter-Stürmer, Odo vor 1919 Marquis de Gozani

b. Ljubljana, Slovenia (then Laibach), Nov. 3, 1885, 
d. Hinterbruehl (Lower Austria), March 19, 1938 (suicide), studied 
law, politician (Heimatschutz). After serving in World War I 
administrative civil servant in Upper Austria, 1931-1934 member of the 
Nationalrat, 1933/34 Staatssekretaer for the creation of employment, 
labour service, the road system and tourism, 1934-1935 Minister of 
Social Affairs, 1936 envoy to Budapest, 1936-1937 Minister of the 
Interior and Security; dismissed from office because of nationalist 
tendencies. 1930-1933 exerted strong ideological influence on the 
politics of the Heimatschutz movement and from 1930 worked on the 
fundamentals of the  Maiverfassung (May Constitution) of 1934. Played 
an important part in the suppression of the  July Putsch of 1934 
(false testimony against the leaders of the coup before the military 
tribunal), leading him to commit suicide in 1938.
