Nibelungengau, Lower Austria, name of the part of the Danube around  
Poechlarn between  Strudengau in the west and  Wachau in the east. 
According to the  Nibelungenlied, Ruediger von Bechelaren resided in 
Poechlarn as Hun margrave.
