Niessl, Hans, b. Zurndorf (Burgenland), June 12, 1951, 
teacher and politician (SPOe). Teacher and director at a Hauptschule 
(basic secondary school); 1987-2000 mayor of the town of 
Frauenkirchen; 1996-2000 member of the Landtag of the province of 
Burgenland (from 1999 SPOe faction chairman); since 2000 
Landeshauptmann (provincial governor) of Burgenland.
