!!!Nissl, Franz

b. Česke Budějovice, Czech Republic (then Budweis), Sept. 1, 
1852, d. Vienna, April 30, 1942, electrical engineer and 
industrialist. 1884 founded together with Karl  Czeija the telegraph 
construction company "Telephon- und Telegraphenfabrik Czeija, N. & 
Co." (1905 Ltd.) and in 1923 built the first radio transmitters and 
receivers to be produced in series. 1927 retired from his management 
position but remained a member of the administrative board of 
directors until 1938.
