!!!Noever, Peter

b. Innsbruck (Tyrol), May 1, 1941, designer. Since 1986 director of 
the Museum of Applied Art in Vienna, which was completely renovated 
and reorganised under his direction 1988-1993. 1975-1993 teacher at 
the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, 1982 founded the architectural 
magazine "Umriss". From 1986, as advisor to Cuba and to UNESCO, 
developed a revitalisation programme for the city of Havana (with C.  
Pruscha) and a project for an artists' quarter in the old city of 
Havana; 1988/1989 visiting professor of museology at the Hochschule 
fuer angewandte Kunst (now University of Applied Arts) in Vienna. 
Awarded the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art in 1997.
