b. Laehnen near Wesel (Germany), Jan. 29, 1842, 
d. Wartberg (Styria), Nov. 22, 1923, industrialist. 1872 with F. Vogel 
founded the iron and steelworks "Vogel & N." ( Vogel & Noot Holding 
AG) in Wartberg, specialised in agricultural tools and machinery. 
1909-1918 member of the Herrenhaus, Upper Chamber of the Reichsrat.
