Notitia Dignitatum, imperial compilation presumably dating back to 425 
and 430 A.D., a sort of record of state affairs. It lists high-ranking 
civilian and military administrative departments and the army units in 
the eastern and western halves of the Roman empire. It is one of the 
most important sources on the late classical period in Austria.
