Novotny, Franz, b. Vienna, May 30, 1949, director. Since 
1971 employed as director at the Austrian broadcasting corporation 
ORF. 1980 achieved recognition as director of the film "Exit - 
Nur keine Panik" with H.  Poeschl, in which he satirised the work 
of the avant-garde filmmaker K.  Kren.
