in 1981. Successor to a number of newspapers dating back to the late 
19th/early 20th century. 12 local editions, published in Upper Austria 
(1999). Until 1994 the weekly newspaper of the Upper Austrian 
Landesverlag. Since then an independent company within  Landesverlag 
Holding Ges. m. b. H.. Weekly circulation in 1998: 
280,000.
