Oberkofler, Anton, b. Jenesien (South Tyrol), June 13, 1828, 
d. Bozen/Bolzano (South Tyrol), June 10, 1912, priest, journalist 
and writer of popular literature. From March 1, 1862 until May 1, 1897 
editor-in-chief of the "Suedtiroler Volksblatt" newspaper founded in 
1862 (from 1868 "Tiroler Volksblatt").
